Indian American, nominated Vice Chairman of  Republican Party in Nassau County of  New York


New York, Nov. 5 (News India ) – Sharanjit Singh Thind (Sonny) has been nominated as a Vice Chairman of Nassau County Republican Party of New York by Joseph Cairo, the Chairman of the party. Sharanjit
Thind, becomes the first and the only Sikh American to hold this position in Nassau County. After the nomination, an elated Sharanjit expressed, "I am thankful to Chairman Joe Cairo for bestowing such
honour, proving his conviction and confidence in me. I ensure every assistance to help him in strengthening the Republican Party in Nassau County, serve my community and Nassau residents. I am also obliged to
my political mentor, Zahid Syed, a community activist for introducing me to Chairman Cairo. Of late, Sharanjit has served as a Commissioner, Nassau County Human Rights Commission.

Born in a Sikh family from Kapurthala, Punjab, India, Sharanjit possesses an MBA degree and a Masters’ Program in Journalism. Settled in New York since 2000, Sharanjit is an established businessman, nature and fitness enthusiast. He is the founder and CEO
of Media Partners Capital Inc., a digital media investment company. He also has family interests in Real Estate Development, Insurance Brokerage & Hospitality. A resident of Nassau County for a long time, he lives on Long Island with his family.
Sharanjit serves a number of religious, non-profit and community action organizations on board.
