Santokhwinder Grewal (Nabha) has been elected as the new President of Punjab & Haryana High Court Bar Association

Chandigarh, (Kulbir Singh Kalsi): Santokhwinder Singh Grewal (Nabha) has been elected as the new President of Punjab and Haryana High Court Bar Association. Grewal had been the secretary of the High Court Bar Association in 2013. Apart from this, he has also been the President of the Panjab University Campus Student Council. For the elections held on Friday, this time four candidates had expressed their claim for the post of President.
Besides Grewal, Amit Rana, Hamovinder Singh Gill and Chauhan Satwinder Singh Sisodia had filed their nominations for the post of President. At the same time, Karan Nehra became the Vice President. Maximum 5 candidates had nominated for the post of Vice President. For the post of secretary, there was a contest between Vishal Agarwal and Balkaran Singh Aulakh, in which Vishal Agarwal won.
There was a contest between Sahil Gambhir, Udayveer Singh and Baljit Beniwal for the post of Treasurer, in which Sahil Gambhir was the winner. Voting began at 9:30 am on Friday, which went on till 4:00 pm. During this, the enthusiasm of the lawyers regarding the election was worth seeing. The lawyers had reached their respective tents at 8:00 am in support of their candidate. After this, the lawyers sought the support of their fellow lawyers for the whole day in support of their candidates.
