SACRAMENTO – California Secretary of State Shirley N. Weber today has released the Notice to Candidates following the July 16, 2021 (E-60) filing deadline for candidates in the upcoming California Gubernatorial Recall Election.
The Notice to Candidates provides the names, addresses, offices, ballot designations, and party preferences of all persons who have filed as replacement candidates for the office of governor and can be found at https://elections.cdn.sos.ca.gov/statewide-elections/2021-recall/notice-to-candidates.pdf. These candidates have met the qualifications and requirements as determined by law. During the notification period ending on July 21, 2021, candidates may challenge an opponent’s ballot designation in Sacramento County Superior Court.
The Secretary of State’s office will post redacted candidate tax returns tomorrow, Sunday, July 28, 2021 and can be found at https://www.sos.ca.gov/elections/upcoming-elections/2021-ca-gov-recall/.
The Secretary of State’s office will certify the final list of candidates and their ballot designations after close of business on July 21, 2021 (E-55). At that time, the Secretary of State will send each county elections official a list of candidates showing the name of every person eligible to receive votes at the election.
